I jumped on the scale today
I'm 200lbs ~90kg and 5ft 2
I'm now catagorised as morbidly obese
My biggest problem is that I'm really bad at cooking, and the foods I know how to cook are calorie dense and high in all the bad stuff (sugar, fat and sodium)
I have a physical job and get daily excersize, but that doesn't seem to be enough to offset my poor diet.
Has anyone been able to loose weight without being able to cook

Is it that you physically can't cook or is it that you just haven't learned but if you did you could

Perhaps you could eat less at a time or eat fewer meals in a day :?
I always been a very picky eater who loved junk food & fast food. I cant cook much except for the microwave & toast-R-oven. I also was always sedentary except when I was working. I was kind of scrawny till after I moved out of my parents & in with my girlfriend at 30. A big reason why is because mom hated feeling forced to cook special meals for me so I usually ate one big meal a day & usually just had a few snacks the rest of the day. I ate a bit more when I was working but my jobs were physical stuff. I gained lots of weight after I moved in with my girlfriend because I started eating two or three meals a day partly because I started taking meds to help manage various mental & physical health issues. Some of the meds can cause weight gain. I also started binge eating on snanks due to life stress & having the freedom to get snacks more. I started losing a bit of the weight by buying less snacks(cant afford them anyway these days due to real inflation rising a lot faster than gov benefits) & sometimes skipping lunch due to having a screwed up schedule lately. I'm also trying to gradually start being more active.

I found it helpful to cook individual portions of food for every meal.
It is easier to learn when you practice frequently.

I use an IR cooking thermometer to make sure the food is being cooked at the proper temperature and use a timer to know how long it has been cooking. This is perhaps the most important two things in cooking. Time and Temperature.

I use a cheap digital scale to measure out meat and put it in plastic sandwich bags for cooking later.

Lots of folks like air fryers.
I also use a 1 quart slow cooker. As well as a tiny deep fryer.
