I have been told before I look like sports star Lionel Messi. Should I take that as a compliment or an insult? :scratch:


On the plus side he is world's best soccer player with a gorgeous wife. On the negative side he has been mocked when trying to model stuff with comments such as "He's no David Beckham" and lots of people think Ronaldo is much more handsome

When I grew my hair very long when I was younger my brother and his mates said I looked like him. At my local pub some people have compared to him and one my friends said I should be a Messi lookalike

I guess we're both under average height as well with a similar build

I think the majority would see Messi as an average looking guy who is short

Not surprised. Understandably I am not as thrilled to be told I look like Messi cause he ain't much of a looker.

Sometimes people compare peoples looks with other people and they don't mean to compliment or insult

It's just sometimes what some people do

I actually didn't think this guy at work was particularly good looking and I couldn't see what people were talking about

Interesting isnt it that Messi is super rich and best player in world but still not that popular with women?

He has had a lot of autism allegations thrown at him

This guy? You're worried about being compared to this guy because you think it might be an insult?

I'm no expert but he looks perfectly decently looking to me.

Honestly, Jamesy, the way you go on anyone would think you must be monstrous to look at but if you look like that guy then I think it's time you considered that there's something else about you that turns people off.

He hides his recessed chin well with the stubble though

I have seen people rate him on reddit and they most give him a 4 or 5 out of 10
