My boyfriend is Aspie and has severe problems sleeping. Also, he wakes up grumpy, extremely angry actually. Anybody else like this or should I start tying him up in his sleep? Many thanks.

I've been known to come up swinging at those who have tried to wake me up by tapping or touching me. As I'm hearing impaired, some think this is supposed to be a good way of waking me, but I would prefer just turning on the light and yelling "time to get up"...
I'm almost always grumpy and agitated when I'm awaken by somebody, especially if I was in the middle of a good dream.

Me too! I can't stand when people touch me when I'm asleep. One time my brother shook me to try and wake me up and I punched him in the nose.

I suggest you don't wake him via conventual means. The human brain is designed to wake us when the correct stimuli are present, like how much like is there and how much sound. I suggest you raise the light levels slowly and the noise levels just as slowly and let him wake on his own.
