I also like to play soccer. But Soccer is difficult because everyone that you play with is extremely verbal during the course of the game. There is a lot of communication going on on the pitch. And I am usually quiet and don't receive a pass very often. Would anybody give me tips on what to do in that situation?
If you're in open space, just yell, or clap your hands to get the attention of the person with the ball. It doesn't even have to be words, just start running and holler.
Or, if you play defense, try to notice the patterns that the other players use in their plays, and anticipate the pass. You should be able to steal the ball that way. (I play defense). I've also noticed that it's easier to get the ball from someone if you try harder than they expect. That could cause the physical level of the game to pick up, so only do it if you can handle it...
