Here are the NFL teams that I think are the greatest in the Super Bowl era:

20. 2009 New Orleans Saints--Devistated by the horiffic events of Hurricane Katrina four years earlier, the team turn it's spirits around made this struggling franchise and made it a winner thanks to a teriffic offense led by Drew Brees.

19. 2000 Baltimore Ravens--As the ol' saying goes, defense wins championships and this team is no exception.

18. 1983 Los Angeles Raiders--Two years into their Hollywood stay and this is one of the best teams that Al Davis ever made with Marcus Allen, Lyle Alazado, Howie Long, Jim Plunkett, Cliff Branch, Lester Hayes, etc. in a star studded team.

17. 1982 Washington Redskins--It seems that this team usually wins the big one in strike years (1982 and 1987) but the 1982 team is one of the best in Redskins history thanks to the Smurfs, the Hogs, John "Diesel" Riggins, and Joe Theismann.

16. 1984 San Francisco 49ers--This 49ers team had only one loss during their Super Bowl run with Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, and Roger Craig. Jerry Rice had yet to be on this team, but he'll be drafted by this team next year to make the 49ers even better.

15. 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers--This team won it's first back-to-back titles as Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, and the Steel Curtain show the world that they are the team of the '70s.

14. 1977 Dallas Cowboys--The Doomsday D, Roger Staubach, and rookie Tony Dorsett really shine this Dallas team as it's the best that Tom Landry ever coached.

13. 2004 New England Patriots--The best Patriots team of all-time as it solidifies itself as the Team of the 2000s.

12. 2006 Indianapolis Colts--Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy finally get their well earned SB rings as they led the Colts to their first championship since 1970.

11. 1986 New York Giants--The best Giants team ever to grace the field with power running and a stingy D that could rival any defense in any era.

10. 1999 St. Louis Rams--They went from being worst-to-first in a single year and almost had a NFL dynasity with the "greatest show on turf" led by a former stock boy named Kurt Warner.

9. 1996 Green Bay Packers--The best Titletown team in the Super Bowl era is led by Brett Farve and Mike Holmgren. Reggie White also did some damage with a great defense.

8. 1976 Oakland Raiders--Best. Raiders. Team. Ever.

7. 1992 Dallas Cowboys--Old school fans can have Landry's teams, but the best Big D team is from the 1992 season led by Troy Aikman and coach Jimmy Johnson.

6. 1998 Denver Broncos--The best and last season of John Elway's illustraious career with great support by Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, Neil Smith, and the rest of the navy and orange.

5. 1991 Washington Redskins--Let 'Er Rip! Joe Gibbs coaches his best Redskins team for last with Mark Rypien, Earnest Byner, Gary Clark, Art Monk, Rickey Sanders, Charles Mann, and co.

4. 1985 Chicago Bears--One of the best and colorful teams of the 1980s with Ditka, Mad Mac, The Fridge, Sweetness, and Buddy Ryan's famous "46" defense.

3. 1972 Miami Dolphins--They may be a perfect team, but it's not enough for them to be #1. Still, no team has ever been undefeated and untied before or since the 1972 team.

2. 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers--Out of the four Steeler SB winning teams of the 1970s, this one is the best because all of the players were in their primes and they dominated the conference and the league.

and the # 1 SB team of all time............

1989 San Francisco 49ers--In my opinion, they are the most complete team in NFL history. They obviously have the best offense in history and don't forget their D is very stingy too. That being said, I think Bill Walsh should've waited his retirement one more year so that way he would've had four SB rings. George Seifert did a great job with Walsh's players.
