I've got my money on a Memphis-NC Championship, but not sure who will win after that... what do you think?

My team is North Carolina. I honestly didn't think they would get this far and now I'm starting to get my hopes up. I've heard that Memphis is one hell of a team though. The Tarheels will have their hands full if they do face them.

Thanks to the way Dean Smith coached his team, I've hated NC for years. (He ruined college basketball before the shot clock with his so-called "four corners" crap.) I view them with nearly the same contempt I reserve for the hated Dallas Cowboys. I'm pulling for Memphis. John Calipari got a bum deal with the Nets, and I would like to see his team win it all the same season the Nets don't even make the playoffs. Payback is sweet.

No team is hotter than North Carolina right now and (now that Davidson is gone) there's no one player hotter right now than Hansbrough.

(Not that I want North Carolina to win, that is, but I can't deny that they probably will)

I just don't see any other team coming close. UCLA is far too slow to compete - they've gotten by on the inside thanks to Love, who's big enough to maneuver his way in between players and the basket and somehow not foul (yeah, right) but who was totally exposed by Xavier, who lost only because their perimeter shooting was downright horrible.

UCLA might make it past Memphis, but it'll be a one-sided game for North Carolina either way in the championship.

By the way, has anyone noticed how Tyler Hansbrough skips around the court? He looks so...uncoordinated...when he's not in the thick of things.

I'm rooting for Memphis, but it's a biased opinion seeing as I live there...

Probably why he is always falling down. The boy is as tough as rubber though.

Another Memphian (and U of M student) here! :D

I was in elementary school the last time they made it to a Final Four, it's been so long. I think this city really needs a moment like this to counteract all the negativity we've been under. I'm just praying they don't choke under all the hype like they did playing Tennessee.

don't remind me :ncool:

MY dad went to UoM, he graduated about 3 years ago (he went back late in life), and he got his Environmental Eng. degree there. I'm thinking about going there my first two years, then transferring out of state once I get my basics out of the way...

Any of you that have UNC winning it watching the game right now? 40-12 Kansas. Who thinks the heels will come back?

Who knows but if Kansas wins they just beat the number one team in the nation.

Kansas wins by 18. I can give my stats prof some crap about this one. He had KU losing to Wisconsin in the Elite 8.
