Well I got my $60 cheap-o charity bracelet last week ($50 membership, $10 bracelet).

though it was too tight at first, it is now a bit too loose - the emblem keeps sliding around to the other side of my wrist.

I was planning on taking it off in the shower, as that's what a lot of people said to do when I searched about the bracelet onlines.
However I encountered a problem - I can't get it off. I also happened to have accidentally put it on upside down last time, too.

I think I'm just going to leave it on like this for a long time. I already have to run to people to give me rides etc. I don't want to have to run to them to have my bracelet taken off too.

The bracelet has a locking clasp which is meant to be impossible to get off so that children don't remove theirs and also so it doesn't accidently come off in an accident.

The bracelet is also meant to be loose so that a paramedice can flip the emblem over and read your information.

You're not suppose to be taking it on or off that defeats the whole purpose of buying one. Its meant to be showered in. If the looseness of it bothers you wear a watch above it and it will lessen how much the bracelet flops around. You eventually get used to it.

I had a Medic Alert bracelet for many years as I had an aneurysm above my heart until I had cardiac surgery to repair the aneurysm.

If the bracelet is too loose and keeps falling off your wrist, then have someone take a "wire cutter" and remove some of the metal links in the bracelet...that's what all the Jewery stores do when they need to fit a bracelet or wrist watch to someone's small wrist.

Also, there is no need to remove the Medic Alert bracelet when you take a shower. By keeping the bracelet on when you shower
actually helps to keep the bracelet clean and free of germs.

and the 'upside down thing'. . . it isn't ment to be read by you, it's supposed to be read by someone else.

that's why I said its upside down. If you flip it over now, its perfect for me to read, and upside down for you if you are facing me

Epilepsy
Heart Murmur
Multi-Drug Food Allergies

Then once I get my emergency treatment they can find out from me about my pcos, sleep apnea and carpal tunnel. Which I think is all of my problems

and I would have told you I was healthy a little over a year ago
