I have 3 cats and I feel more connected to them than to most humans. They love and accept me, and their needs are easy to understand - no complicated interpretation of double meanings and all that stuff.

I've loved all my cats. The only reason I don't host one now is that it is devastating to say that final good-bye.

I had to put one of my cats to sleep a few months ago. She was 15 and I still have her sister who is the same age. I keep on telling myself I won't get anymore after these are gone but I think life would be too lonely without them.

my roommate got an american short hair in november, all white with a green eye and a blue eye. she's like 8 or 9 months old and really cute. at first she was really independent and didn't really like being touched unless she was already relaxing but lately she's gotten really touchy-feely with me, and i haven't been playing with her as much as i was (i'd play with her so much i'd actually get her panting, i didn't even know cats panted until i played with her).

one thing that i find pretty funny is that she's more disciplined with me than my roommate. she likes to chew bags but i'd discipline her any time i saw her do it by scruffing her, i'd just grab the scruff of her neck firmly but not hard enough to hurt her, and hold her down for a little bit while staring into her eyes. my roommate would just push her away and say "bad kitty" which really doesn't teach her much. the cat, Nala, begs for food when my roommate's in the kitchen because she gives her little pieces of fish sometimes, and she tries to eat off her plate even while she's eating. she doesn't go anywhere near my food when i'm eating it, and will only go check it out and maybe lick it a bit if it's something tasty like sour cream and i'm lying back on the couch because i'm done eating.

i've got to say, i wasn't really a cat person before, but i really like this one.

I really like cats, and I've had a couple. But there's a cat-killer somewhere in the neighbourhood :(

One of my cats came home once with a bullet hole in his tummy. Luckily, he pulled through and survived. Later he just didn't come home.

I'm not getting a new cat until I move elsewhere, because I don't feel like going through all that again :(

I don't understand how people can be so cruel.

I have 3 cats. 1 of them has decided that she's going to stay with the old lady across the road, so I rarely see her, maybe once a week but she is still always happy to see me when she does. Another one of my cats is busy roaming the street throughout the day & he only comes inside for meal times (or if it's really cold). The last cat I have a special bond with - she is almost always sitting on my lap & follows me around all day long. Don't get me wrong, my other cats mean just as much but because they seem to be more solitary animals, I don't have as much of a bond with them. My other cat would probably get depressed if I left for good where as the rest would notice, but get on with life.

I have two cats, two bengals. They're my pride and joy. But I would like a dog, a shiba inu, to play with them.

I love cats. I'm definitely a cat person. I don't particularly like dogs.

But I don't have a cat at the moment, because I've been moving around too much, so it wouldn't be fair.
