Just wondering, did you just come to the conclusion there is a dead cell mass, or did you have some sort of tests to test the functioning of the brain areas and this what they told you.
One reason I am asking is because most studies show that acety-l-carntine is known to protect the brain from damage. It is neuroprotective and prevents cell death, so I am comfused as to how this could cause damage?
Now neuroleptic drugs, that is a differnt story, they can cause damage and can be toxic, that is why they should only be used if the risk is not worse then the symtoms (like if your having hallucinations, ect).
I am far from a expert, but I think your best course of action would be to see what areas of functioning where lost, and work on learning those again. Basicly if your brain is damaged from the neuroleptic drugs, there isnt any easy way to repair the brain. If you havent already, then you need to talk to someone like a neurologist.
