I am happy to say that I am at a nice 175 pounds now, closing in on my goal of being in the 160s.

Congrats Tim! If you don't mind me asking how much did you previously weigh?

YES! I am so happy for you, TimTex! What a relief to your knees, back and feet! I appreciate the sacrifice and determination it takes to stick to a reducing diet and making it work!

Isn't it just DELICIOUS to toss on a pair of jeans and have them fit well?

Merle

At one point, I weighed 241 pounds (and that was when I was 16!)

I am 29 now.

congrats! just wondering, how tall are you?

i'm at about the same weight as you, 175lbs, but over the summer i was down as low as 156lbs. i lost the weight really quickly so as soon as i stopped rowing twice a day i started gaining weight again. i'm now trying to lose it again in preparation for the next rowing season, but it's been really hard to motivate myself this year. oh well i'll get down there eventually, it's kind of hard to stay fat when you're doing 3-4hrs of cardio every day :D

Whoohoo, keep it up ^^ , btw a good advice is: once you've reached your ideal weight dont fall back on your old habbits. Once your stomach is used to not eating much you probably wouldn't even be able anymore even if you want too. It will get easyer if thats a relieve :)

very true, i find it so much harder to eat as much as i used to. i used to be able to eat a whole medium, maybe even a large, pizza to myself without feeling really gross and too full. now i'm struggling to finish half of one, even if i'm really really hungry.

i'm down a bit more weight too, i was down to 167 this morning before eating. my adhd medication cuts my appetite so i've been forgetting to eat but lately i've added a multivitamin/mineral supplement and an omega 3 supplement so that even if i forget to eat i'll still get some nutrients, and i've been eating more. i think the increased food intake is making me lose weight because my metabolism was probably so low from skipping meals that i wasn't losing any weight. the multivitamin may have helped too because i was mostly likely deficient in some minerals and vitamins which would hinder some bodily functions and i imagine that could have an effect on weight loss or weight gain.

Im actually trying to go up a little, lol. I need to get a little stronger, but I've been so busy with the grind of playing on three hockey teams that I can't get regular time in the gym. I'm 185, I'd like to be 195.

because I can't get enough of it! I play for a local team here in NJ, I also play in an outdoor roller league, which i dont like as much, but I was asked to join by a few other players I know and I still travel out of state to NY to play for the adult team I played for while in college.
