8) It's been a week now since I've stopped smoking.
I'm using the patch. I feel a lot better mentally already.
Quit drinking until I'm totally off the patch.

Just making a little list to keep myself on track here.

Smell
Tooth Discoloration
Breathing
Exercise
Mental Sharpness

alright, Xanovaria!

you will notice a sharpening of dreams and mental acuity with the patch, so don't freak out when your dreams become very vivid. I found if you just substitute the ritual of what you did when you smoked ( the setting aside time to do it, the cigarettes, the lighter, the prep for smoking, the smoking, how you held the cig, how you blew the smoke, what you did after, etc) with some other (hopefully healthy) activity you can look forward to, enjoy doing and feeling good afterwards, your chances of actually beating the addiction rise dramatically.

all the best!
Merle

thanks a lot mate. :)
I'm an avid participant in lucid dreaming. I'm loving being asleep more than awake now. You're spot on about the dreams being vivid.
