i could sleep all day if it weren't for my kids making me do stuff they are 8 and 6.. so today i guess i have to take them to the park and do some sort of picnic.. lately i've been having trouble sleeping at night.. my 6 yr old daughter is getting to be very emotional, my son has Asperger's too and is highly active and all this makes me tired... the only time i'm not tired is if i'm by myself and after two days of staying in bed doing nothing... all you aspies seem pretty productive.. i'm also taking anti-depressents that are suppose to give me the umph to do stuff and i've experimented with higher dosages but they made me feel wierd so i went back to 20 milligrams per day.. what do you think..

Is it possible that you don't sleep well or sleep and wake up every few hours? My uncle has a thing called sleep apnia (not sure if that's spelled correctly), and it's where he wakes up lots of times in the night but he can't remember it. He went to a sleep lab where he got diagnosed, he now wears a breathing mask to bed and thus can sleep through the night without interuption.

If the above is not the case, perhaps you're not getting enough you time? Where you leave the children with a trusted individual for a little while (an hour or so) and go do something that you enjoy, so you get rejuvinated?

Aspies vary in energy levels though, same as everyone else.
