I have an irrational fear of being attacked by rats/mice in my sleep, of being kidnapped, of people in general, and the oddest one is of being locked up in a mental hospital for no reason without choice for the rest of my life.

Its odd, they arent very likely I know, but I think about them all the time. Its like I cant stop it... Especially the mental hospital, and kidnapping... Makes me stay in the house much more than I should...

That's not an irrational fear, it's a perfectly sensible one, particularly if you've had contact with the psychiatric industry before.

Of course there are sensible precautions you can take - educating yourself about your rights, knowing what you can and can't say and do if the psychiatric industry invites itself into your life. At worst, being prepared to take a holiday abroad at short notice for a month or so.

I have a huge fear of centipedes and millipedes. Sometimes it gets so bad, I check every piece of clothing I put on to make sure nothing is in there. I am scared one day I'll wake up because I'll be covered in them. I one woke up from a bad nightmare because I had a dream that being eaten by numorus discusting insects. I hate bugs.

I am also still scared of the dark even though I am almost 16. I never go into basements alone because I think some demonic presence is going to pull me to hell or posssess me. I also become paranoid very easily. People always tell me to calm down.

Another one is also being kidnapped, someone killing me and making me suffer, and the mental hospital is another one of my fears, I feel like someone will take me away and I'll be dragged down a hallway by people in white suits, and they'll inject me with medications to make me all dopey and I'll be in a padded room forever. That is why I hate hospitals.

I have irrational fears of the dark, germs and dirt (Mysophobia) and veins. I am not squeamish, at all, I merely have a very irrational fear of veins. Being pale, this causes a fear of exposing my arms, as I can see my own veins.

Big spiders. I get that weird feeling like my head is filling up but getting light when a big one spooks me. Little spiders I'm fine with, and wetas, moths, snakes, mice and any other creepy crawlies, no trouble.

Mine are all to do with News reports, it can be anything and I place myself in that situation, very upsetting :(

When the Tsunami happened we were going on holiday not long after, I had to plan my escape route from our Apartment and have a rescue plan. I pictured waking up and water rushing in at me. The fact we went to Spain and they have no earthquakes didnt matter, I had to prepare myself for it.

^^^^ this happens with most things I watch on the Telly.

I'm afraid of wasps, I despise them. I occasionally get freaked out by the dark, but not usually.

I am scared of wrists including my own. I get anxiety thinking about them and touching them or having them touched really sets me off and I can't really breathe and have to press them into my sides till they go numb. I know, it's a problem!

mysophobia quite severe and hopelessly intertwined with OCD, mild agoraphobia and arachnophobia
possibly a few other arguably irrational fears/phobias but nothing really comes to mind atm.

Squirrels was a major one when I was little, but I sort of grew out of it. I'm still scared of bridges, heights, insects with stingers, and male genitalia.

Spiders, Centipedes, Seeing the Dentist, and perhaps the wierdest one for me-Queen Annes Lace flowers, which is a very specified form of anthophobia.

I'm afraid of walking down the road with a car passing by me, in fear that out of nowhere they'll turn around and shoot me with a gun and drive off.

I'm terrified of thunder and lightning, as well as other natural disasters. Once a storm cloud starts showing up I start panicking and I spend the next few hours watching the radar fearfully.

I'm afraid that lightning will hit me through the window even though I'm inside my house.
Also afraid that someone will somehow mis-aim and shoot through my window. ._. Another reason I don't have my bed near the window.
