No , no , no , no , no , the Nhs have got it all wrong , they should stop laying off people after 20 sessions and let people decide wether they think they can cope. Now i have someone to blame for everything , i can just point to the Nhs and blame them if i wish , they decided to lay me off because they thought i was sorted for life and i don't know what they are on about. 20 sessions is 5 months and its not going to change my life , how am i expected to go from zero to hero in a matter of months. So have my problems evaporated into thin air? , no of course they haven't. Am i a more confident person? , no i still have no self esteem or confidence. Am i happier now? , although i should be happier , i don't feel that this is the case and feel that i need more help before i generally feel that i am happier overall. I can't believe they told me to f**k off or they may as well and they expect me to be god and i don't produce miracles and i never have. I have been trying , but it was never going to happen and i don't know what they expected of me when they let me go and did they honestly believe that i was cured , lol. I don't know what they are going to do about me being my own worst enemy , nothing impresses me and i never get impressed with anything that i do , i just slag myself off really easily.

I just wonder if anyone else has been thrown out against there own will and told that they will be fine. These people expect you rto be happy all the time, What world do they live in? , i always think that my doctor is on drugs when he says that i can be fine all the time , Wtf!! !. I am trying to be me and continue with it , but i do feel let down with the health service and they have got it all wrong.

No , no , no Nhs you can't lay people off their therapy if it against their own will. Patients should be given the right to say wether they want to end theire therapy , where is there a right for the patient because as far as i am concerned all the power and decisions go to the doctor , i just feel this is wrong.

I think it has to do with the cost of the therapy. That's all part of socialized medicine. Although I am for a similar system in the US for people without access to health insurance, because it's better than nothing, you have to remember that your therapy costs the NHS, if I'm not mistaken.

Do you pay for therapy yourself, or is it provided for you by the government over there? If you pay for it, or part of it, yourself, then you should be able to choose to continue if you pay the full amount. Do you have that option, of paying for it privately? I would think that in non life threatening situations, of severe quality of life situations, they government wouldn't be required to give ongoing treatment.

I do understand needing therapy, don't get me wrong. I've had lots of it myself and we have no insurance and had to find ways to pay for it ourselves, and we are by no means wealthy or even really middle class. Twenty sessions in five months is a pretty good amount of therapy, and it's a good start to build on. I do think that unless you have a very severe mental disorder, that 20 sessions in five months should be enough to get you started, and that if you feel you need more then you need to find a way to pay for them. I certainly don't think that it's the NHS's fault that you are still having problems, any more than it would be their fault that you still had diabetes after receiving treatment for it through them, or still had cancer after receiving treatment.

I think that they have to get funding from the government to pay from the therapy , we certainly have put no money towards the treatment.

Yes i do have the option of paying for it privately , i may have to think bout this , i think it would cost more though

Was laid off because they couldn't manage. Now, that's the epic joke of my life. Their actions merely serve to reinforce my fears.
