Currently just on venlafaxine for major depression.

I'm amazed at all the people taking Prozac for depression. That was the first one I tried and it made me feel suicidal. Just goes to show everyone's chemistry is different. I'm glad it's working for someone.

I'm taking right now:

- N-acetylcysteine (for borderline, cognition and nail picking);
- methylphenidate [as needed] (for ADHD, but also helps with some borderline symptoms such as depression and cognition as well);
- clonazepam [as needed] (for anxiety and sleep problems);
- phenibut [once in a while] (for anxiety and very depressive states);
I also take cyclobenzaprine, carisoprodol and hydroxyzine in order to limit the clonazepam usage.

I’m currently on Prozac and Seroquel for depression and mood stabilization as well as Adderall XR for ADHD and even though I’m not prescribed it, I have a really heavy reliance on Melatonin to help with my insomnia.

I used to take Zoloft, Lamictal and Abilify but the latter is the only one that I found to be effective though I had to cease taking it due to how experimental it still is.

Abilify is FDA approved for a number of conditions. Although it is a relatively new drug, it is not considered 'experimental' in the west, at least...

Oooh, someone else taking moclobemide. I was beginning to think I was the only one. My doctor told me it's not common.

What do you think of it? How long have you been taking it for?

Here goes:

Levemir—Diabetes
Novolin-R—Diabetes
Metformin—Diabetes
Metropolol—Hypertension
Losartan/HCTZ—Hypertension
Garlic capsules—Hypertension/high cholesterol
Fish Oil capsules—High cholesterol
Vitamin C capsules—High Cholesterol
Ginko Bilbao—brain function
Niacin—High cholesterol
Zinc—brain function

Ibuprofen/diphenhydramine (as needed)—pain and sleep as needed due to carpal tunnel syndrome.

Chamomile tea (as needed)—for anxiety (I’ve been having the night terrors again, due to PTSD, no thanks to verbal, mental and physical abuse by my parents growing up (old-school parenting (spare the rod and spoil the child) as well as sexual abuse, in addition to the physical, mental, and verbal abuse by 3 different girl gangs growing up.). I haven’t drunk that in a while, since damn few of the supermarkets around here stock it. I refuse to take antipsychotics, due to being severely allergic to them.)

Actually I've been taking it only for a few days so I don't have an opinion on it yet. I was put on various SSRIs but the sexual dysfunction was a big issue. I asked my doctor to put me on Wellbutrin but he told me it was pulled off market for some reason so he put me on Aurorix instead.

What about your experiences? Are you content with it?

Wellbutrin sounds like such a good medication. I wish they had it in the UK, too, for purposes other than stopping smoking.

Perhaps a stimulant med would help if you haven't tried one. Wellbutrin is kinda like a weak stimulant. Both can help with ADHD, weight loss/eating less, depression, & I think both can help counteract sexual dysfunction caused by other meds. I'm talking stimulants in general & things probably vary by the stimulant.

The thing is even without the meds my sex drive is not great. I'd love to try a stimulant honestly as I have diagnosed ADD too but I have a history of hearing voices so my doctor is not willing to prescribe me stimulants. Actually that's another reason why I wanted to try Wellbutrin. My doctor also said that it was a great med and all his patients who'd been on it were in trouble.

Lamictal (lamotragine) and Geodon (ziprasidone) — Mood stabilizers
Lexapro (escitalopram) — Antidepressant
Buspar (buspirone) — Anxiety and irritability

I also take a Vitamin B-12 supplement daily and melatonin as needed for sleep.

eeee. Lamictal scares me. I was on it for a little while until I looked it up. In a 6 month study 25% of patients showed build up in various organs. You can't get it out of your organs and when you get enough within an organ it causes organ failure.
