My sister has autism (a rare one, she has Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, where she showed classical Aspie behaviours - repeating lines from movies, songs, not paying attention to other people, talking in monotone but seemed pretty normal, then regressed at age 4 to non-verbal autism, pretty sad!!)

I have ADD and AS (not diagnosed but I suspect I do!!) I want to get a test for it.

I heard that more than half people with Borderline (I am not sure if your sis has it for sure or not?) also have ADHD or some form of impulse control disorder... because they have a hard time regulating emotions or something.

My brother may be Bipolar and probably has some OCD traits, but not as many as mine. I've been diagnosed with AS and ADHD. We're fairly similar in many aspects, except I'm more obsessive compulsive about more things and he's better in social/life situations.

I can relate to what you have said to a lesser degree. I have mild Aspergers and my brother has just been diagnosed with Bipolar alongside something else I forget what it's called now...some kind of psychosis I am unsure if it is Bipolar or Aspergers that he suffers from myself but my family don't pay any attention to me what so ever so they keep on trying him on this medication and that medication, each one seems to being doing more harm each time.
Anyway, yes, I was the quiet child and even if I had a problem- even now if I have a problem- I won't share it with my parents. They have enough on their plate with my brother (and my dad has issues too) so I just sat quietly in the corner and got on with it really. It probably happens a lot.

My brother's bipolar, or something, I think. I know he's started seeing a psychiatrist and has started taking medication because of some crazy things he was saying and delusions he was suffering from. I'm not sure what his diagnosis is as I haven't talked to him in years due to his very sketchy instability. He is frightening and potentially dangerous.

My brother had the psychosis too, I read that's usually an indicator of being bipolar (or schizo-affective). My family pays more attention to his issues too, even if I'm the one popping a bunch of pills just to feel somewhat normal (I'm also the quiet one so I relate). I can't even talk about my problems without them cutting me off to talk about his...and everyone wonders why I don't talk :? Then it's like, when you're genuinely feeling like crap and have a fit, to everyone else it looks like you're jealous or trying to upstage your sibling for attention... I try not to say much to my family either now too, since it's also more stressful to fret over two of your kids' mental health as opposed to just one.

I myself have got ADHD (recently diagnosed), my brother has been diagnosed with classic autism since he was about 2 years old, and he's deaf and what do you call it... ret*d? (I don't want to offend anybody, but I don't know how to call his mental state in english otherwise.)

Apart from that my nephew from my mothers side has been diagnosed with ADHD. My dad's dad was possibly Asperger, my dad has undiagnosed ADHD for sure, my mum I suspect to have ADHD as well, as well as at least two of her siblings. As far as the rest of the family: there is definitly something odd about my dad's sister (although she could be NT, not sure), and my grandmother could be slightly ADHD.

I guess the fact that there had to be a lot of structure at home for my 2,5 years younger brother has possibly saved at least my dad and me from going mental because the structure made us develop strong coping technics for our ADHD.

My older sister, who's three years older than I, has self-diagnosed
Social Anxiety Disorder. She does not have AS, I wouldn't be surprised if she does.

I myself have self-diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

This has me written all over it. My younger sister who is 17 has some strange psychological disorder mixed in with extreme depression. And when we were little, she would throw tantrums and I was the good, quite one.

I fought to stay in school. I had severe epilepsy, and I was not going to leave high school without a diploma.
This year- My sister argued with my mum until she let her drop out of high school.

My sister has ADHD (diagnosed very young) and some other condition that results in extreme mood swings and angry outbursts. She's in complete denial that there's anything unusual about her.

When we were growing up I was always the quiet well-behaved one, but somehow I was always punished (often violently) whereas she generally was not.

I am pretty sure that all 3 of my sisters have varying degrees of AS along with me, the most severe case belonging to my youngest sister, theres just no way to get them diagnosed officially

I have a sister with ADHD, speach delay, ODD, OCD and my mum says she has Asperger's but she has like 1000 friends so i doubt it. lol. My ex-SIL has NPD and BPD and Bipolar and Binge Eating Disorder.

My aunt has CP, my neice (who was late term terminated) had turners.

I have a child that looks gifted with aspie tendencies and an LFA/HFA with anaphalaxis.

I have too much to list. lol. :D

Several months later, I just now noticed this.

Obviously, I meant to say that my younger sister is a female version of my half-brother.
