Well, I am going to go ask these guys whose software I want to use how I can slice and dice this up so I can use it. The only drawback is that it might be to loud and detract from the artwork is supposed to display.

I have schizoaffective and autism and am an artist. I have been featured in books and magazines for my art. The only problem is that I don't know if I should share my website because it gives personal information and the last time I shared my site on this site and another site (which happens to be schizophrenia.com) they attacked me and my art. Schizophrenia.com also attacked who I am by saying I am a faker and my art is crap. This was the moderators that attacked me and then they banned me thinking I am faking my illness. That led me to be suicidal. Of course they didn't believe that either. So, I don't know if i want to risk being there again. I also put my site on this site (wrongplanet.net) and it was also attacked and they were making fun of who I am. I would love to join your group though. My art is different than typical mentally ill people. Most mentally ill people do abstract pictures because it reflects their illness and how confused their world can be (at least that is my opinion). Mine is realistic but some of mine are kind of too bright for what the scene should be. Some of my other pictures are more weird though maybe more like a mentally ill person. I think some of my pictures are more like a manic person's kind of art. They are bright and colorful, much more than real life can possibly be. I draw animals with colored pencils. If you want me to give you my website the people on here have to not make fun of me, attack me, accuse me of things and so on.

Awwwe your such a nice person I can't believe that. :(

People on the schizophrenia spectrum much like autism have different level's of functionality. To me it's no surprise that something like that could've happened. I also think some level of jealousy could arise from someone lower functioning than you. It's like Autism vs high functioning or Aspergers. People with schizo affective can be fairly high functioning compared to normal schizophrenics. That's my experience, I know at least two other people who are high functioning. Everyone is affected by neurological stuff differently in reality it should be our compassion that brings us together not who deserves more sympathy, or who's more sick.

I guess I will risk it. The website is www.crittersonthings.com The best pictures are the scenes. Some of the art on there is from I was 12 years old to present. To view my images you have to go to the store part of the website. It is also my mom's books on this site so its not just my art.

Theyre corrupted by their illness, can't be trusted with moderating the forum.
like ppl i know irl

I am in art school but because of my notoriety in the school for, emm, being part of a wabbit wun... like van gogh's prisoners circle...

-still life-

i think people with AS + mental illnesses have a 'special sensitivity' to seeing the patterns in nature
which leads to the problem with low pattern-sensing threshhold and psychosis
emmm
sadly a lot of my stuff seems to be more like an expression of being sick in the head rather than theraputic or peaceful :s

Awwwe your art is very cute. I've only done one picture in that art style before. I'm also not very good at animals.
I like really these 2

Anyway you really shouldn't let the bullying get to you. I noticed that you have really low self esteem too. It's incredibly wrong that you were bullied in the first place. Unfortunately even other people with autism or mental illness can be misguided. They're so caught up in their own pain that they take it out on others. Some people want to paint this picture that having mental illness means to not be successful or functioning at all and I think that it's total BS. If anything higher functioning and helping people get to that point needs to be promoted in society but in my experience it's not. I think dmc68's site will be successful if we promote our way of thinking. That art is healing and productive and that there is no good or bad art. Some people think I'm successful but that's not true. I do try really really hard to do well. I don't always give up. I think your an amazing person and you don't give yourself enough credit. Even if your not perfect anything you put your heart into is a huge accomplishment.

Thank you for liking my pictures. One of the most popular ones is the Africa scene that you put up. The turtle isn't as popular. That is interesting that you like that one. Yes, I graduated from a 2 year college. I got around a 3.7 GPA. I wish I got a higher GPA because I am a perfectionist. I tried for a 4.0. I am happy that I did graduate with honors though. I have been in 2 art books (for the autism) one is called Artism: The Art of Autism and the other is called "Drawing Autism." I am going to an autism conference on December 2nd to sell my art and Temple Grandin is going to be one of the speakers. Normally I speak as well. Not at this conference though. I am also going to a holiday bazaar tomorrow to sell my stuff. At this one I usually make between $700-800 but since its in a new location I expect very little sales. Also the vendors are spread out in different buildings this time. Usually its all in one big building and heavily advertised. Also its on the main path. This time it is far out of the way. I think if it really is bad as I think its going to be, the vendors will complain for them to move it back. I expect to do well at the autism conference though because I almost always do well at autism conferences. Last month I made about $640 selling my art. Just remember the items are only $4 to $26 are the main ones we sell. There is a $55 item but no one buys that because the print is too big and also it is a lot of money. If we make $50 this bad show I will be shocked. I am expecting to honestly make nothing because of the bad location as mentioned before. I hope I am pleasantly surprised. Hear from you soon!

That's so cool (^_^) I really want to go to art College too but I'm so insecure and I don't have very many people to support me though it. I'm also a huge perfectionist too I had high marks in high school but I've slightly deteriorated. I do have a support worker trying to help me get into school. I am trying but it's very difficult.

I went to Walmart and it was very crowded. They didn't have what I wanted on sale though. I also went to Best Buy but when I saw the line I gave up. I didn't go to art college. It was a regular 2 year college. I enjoyed it though except the constant tests. I hate crowds. I couldn't even think at Walmart.

I saw your art last time you had a link up on WP and I thought it was wonderful. I can't remember if I commented or not at the time, but I remember how impressed I was. I know from reading your posts you are not a pretender and I think it's very rude of those people to say that to you. Keep doing that wonderful artwork and don't let the bullies get you down.
