I'm not psychotic, so I can't entirely understand this, and can't really give advice...

Any advice I can give is stuff like "oh yeah, try to ignore it" etc., and I figure that's not only completely unhelpful but also been said to you a billion and one times.

Just know I'm rooting for you. I really hope this goes well. If you think it will help we could exchange Skypes so you can talk to me if you need someone to talk to at any point.

I'm sorry I don't understand; if I had a better way to help or give advice I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

Thanks Mel :) Actually, your advice would be the same as the doctors'. They say to try to "distract" from it, which to me is just another fancy term for ignore. Sometimes distracting yourself does work, but when they become too loud, it doesn't. If you'd like to exchange Skypes that's fine with me, I can always use someone to talk to!
