Switching from one type to another sometimes requires tapering off the old and starting the new at a lower dose.
Sometimes a washout period is required, go back to see your doctor if you still do not feel your usual self.

My daughter was prescribed a med change from one antidepressant to another, and within very few days, like you are describing, started having strong impulses to either stab herself or someone else. I said you need to call the doc back right away. They changed drugs again and the aggressive impulses went away.

I can't remember what drug it was that caused this, but my advice to you is the same. Those feelings are an adverse drug effect that you should take very seriously. Phone.

I'm changing it for yet another reason.
I started bleeding, I'm so weak I collapsed on my way to bathroom.
This drug does no good for me.

I hope you feel better soon! Be in contact with your prescriber about this effect and what to do next.

In my opinion the CBD is gaining a good momentum in short time since it has almost no side effects it is not addictive. I am pleased with the fact that in many countries the ban on marijuana products is lifted. I for example use drugs which I find have a good effect on the nervous system and have proven themselves in nervous exhaustion and depression. So I think these drugs are the future of medicine.

My doc recently decided that I should switch from SSRI (Lexapro, escitalopram) to SNRI (Effectin, venlafaxine).
Before the switch I was lifeless and suicidal because it seemed the only way to really rest. I decided rest was the thing I needed.
Now I'm only 3 days on the new med and instead of lifeless, I'm horribly angry. I sleep poorly and dream of fighting. I want to hit things, punch people, scream and fight... and kill myself just to take action.
Has anyone had similar effects on SNRI? Did it change over time?

I had a similar experience on the tricyclic antidepressant clomipramine (Anafranil). I had to discontinue the medication. You should talk to your doctor as soon as possible.
