I was diagnosed with GAD before being diagnosed with social anxiety disorder. I think it's part of my ASD.

I have diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD, Aspergers traits.

I saw a psychologist, I was told I had severe generalised anxiety disorder.
When I was diagnosed with ADHD, the same result.

As a child, I had social anxiety disorder, it is occasional, as an adult.

I am an aspie and I don't have GAD but I know many people who do. It's a matter of brainwave *disbalance*, or should I say individualized application of brainwave activity.

I have never met a person on the autism spectrum who did not seem to have some kind of anxiety. Varying from situational and mild to extreme and disabling.

You can't put a person into a whole world catered a completely different sort of person and expect them to be at ease. You kind of have to build a fortress of relaxed space for yourself and defend it.
