Well, huh. I actually thought my score would be much lower.
Guess I've got bolder and meaner with age.
The disinhibition has always been there!

I don't get the structure of the test.

If I answer somewhat true then doesn't it automatically assume it's somewhat false? It's like saying that if I have some red jelly beans in a jar then I must have some that are not red that are in that same jar?

Somewhat should be considered synonymous with 'more'. Is it more true than false or is it more false than true?

The difference between a jar filled mostly with yellows with a few reds vs. mostly reds with a few yellows.

There seems to be a significant gender distinction also.
I put female instead of other because I wanted to see the percentile result.

My score of 52 put me on the 39th percentile,
yet Fnord's score of 47 put him down on the 12th?

So men are allowed to have more psychopathic traits before getting labelled as a psychopath??

Most psychopaths are men, so men need a higher score to be in a high percentile.

If you're in a class where everyone scores high you need higher marks to be in the top 5% than one where the average score is lower. Men as a class get higher scores therefore you need to be especially terrible to stand-out.

The test doesn't actually label, it only describes likelihood.

Not that I know anyone like that.

Sadly neither of those explains the other category I scored high in.

But being uninhibited is one of the defining traits. Just comfort yourself with some meatloaf. Or some Meatloaf, because two outta three ain't bad.

I don't think I usually am but I know I can be and have had to train myself to check those impulses as well as to question the reasoning that I might use while trying to justify cruel or abusive behaviour.

I got bullied a lot when I was younger and the one consistently successful response strategy was to make sure that if someone did it they got hurt badly enough to no longer view me as a safe target.

I've mentioned this before, but anyway....

Pathological Demand Avoidance (normally diagnosed as ASD + ADHD) can show a number of supposedly narcissistic or psychopathic traits, but they aren't driven by the same things. PDA is avoidant, defensive, over-thinking, risk-averse. But it comes across as aggressive, self-centered, irrational and impulsive.

Genuine pyschopaths care only about themselves. Other people are basically there to be messed with for entertainment. PDA people care about others but tend to self-sabotage relationships, jobs etc. through being impulsively contrary and argumentative.

Looks the same, but isn't.
