I have been dx BP for many years now. I just had an intake for a professional analyzation for aspergers and the doc said he thinks I am an aspie and that I also have schizo-affective disorder. This makes me very unhappy.

While I can understand the AS, I can't understand the SAD. I had a very very hard time accepting the BP dx - very hard time.

Diagnosed with depression when I was 17. My mom basically couldn't handle my outbursts and meltdowns (non aspie related) and I was feeling like sh**. I also have major social anxiety but that's probably aspie related. Then there's the OCD thing, but that, as well, might be aspie related. I do have some GI problems - acid reflux, an ulcer, and possibly a second ulcer.

I know I sound like a mess, but I'm happy now, most of the time, and I'm trying to be more social.

I have been given so many labels over the years... depression, schizophrenia, dissociative disorder nos (derealization and depersonalization and such), GAD, OCD, rapid cycling bipolar, psychosis nos, aspergers... I think that covers the mental stuff. Physically I have spinal cord issues and nerve damage... those are the biggies. I have sleep problems as well like insomnia and sleep paralysis. Fun fun yay.

I have ADHD. Horrible concentration, bad motor skills, not very good at taking stuff in. I'd rather have far more sever AS than lighter AS and ADHD.

My mental health co-morbid is anxiety/panic attacks, this spring and summer things seemed to be looking up because I was having less anxiety, but this autumn I have regressed and I am now at my worst.
My physical ailment is IBS, and I hate hate hate hate it. My bowels are so erratic I get nervous when I have to go out somewhere in the morning, and that just makes it worse.

I was diagnosed with OCD (As my name implies) when I was 14 and I have anxiety as well.

I actually find the anxiety/OCD worse than Asperger's.
