These questions are too broad. I have had the suspicion for a while that I'm Schizotypal plus some other and not actually ASD at all. I don't want to go back to a specialist though so a mystery it shall remain.

Not surprised by the BPD result, since in addition to being autistic I also have complex PTSD. I meet 4 of 9 BPD criteria (you need 5 for a diagnosis).

Avoidant, Dependent and OCPD are a bit more surprising. I do tend to want to stick to what I know is 'safe' rather than take risks, and my family's support is essential to me. But the OCPD result I think is picking up on restricted/repetitive behavior rather than true OCPD traits.

I took the test but there was result of paranoid, schizotypical Very High and Moderate on Antisocial Personality Disorder so I thought the test was BS.

I've seen MANY Psychiatrists even Forensic Psychiatrists who have their MD and they say I have Mixed Cluster-B Personality Disorder Traits Primary Antisocial and Borderline Personality Disorders.

Along with ADHD, ODD, CD, social anxiety and confused about either Aspergers or Schizophrenia.

Especially since there were 2 Psychiatrists that says I am not paranoid it's overthinking or being too cautious

Schizoid and histrionic? That's a helluva combination.

yup, but when i read about them, the only histrionic trait i have is not liking criticism. i have several schizoid traits. i'm almost never impulsive or aggressive, so not likely antisocial.

Hello. I know this is a pretty old forum, but someone brought it up again, so here:

Disorder | Rating

Paranoid | High
Schizoid | Moderate
Schizotypal | High
Antisocial | Moderate
Borderline | Moderate
Histrionic | Moderate
Narcissistic | Moderate
Avoidant | Very High
Dependent | Low
Obsessive-Compulsive | Very High

URL of the test: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/personalit ... er_test.mv
URL for more info: http://www.4degreez.com/disorder/index.html

It test overall makes sense. I have social anxiety disorder, which relates a lot to the avoidant rating being high, along with possible OCD and ASD creating OCPD very high too. I know I am a pretty paranoid person, but I am unsure about schizotypal. I have social anxiety, which seems to have a lot of symptoms of schizotypal. Other than that.

this one test in particular comes up a lot in forums. i've noticed that it tends to give very exaggerated results. if it doesn't give you a "very high" result for something, chances are you don't have it. and if it does give you a "very high" result, it's probably a sign of something, but it could very well be asperger's itself and nothing else. or maybe an anxiety disorder or something. or maybe just "a bad phase". or maybe you're a teenager (practically a temporary personality disorder in itself. one of the reasons why teenagers are specifically excluded in the criteria)

and your knowledge of personality disorders makes a lot of difference when you're reading and interpreting the questions. like, when they ask you "do you often feel that people are saying bad things about you behind your back" (extra point for "paranoid"), the question implies that you have no concrete basis for your feeling. or, "have you been called cold and distant" (extra point for "schizoid)". the literal answer says more about the people you're surrounded by than about yourself

Image

schizoid and schizotypal are things i've been diagnosed with at one point or another. i'm positive that i don't have any other of those disorders. there's no real treatment for personality disorders anyway, other than talk therapy (if that). even when it's "official", it's more like an "oh, so i actually am quite out of the norm" kind of thing. which often means it's supposed to be a realization that people aren't supposed to put up with certain things about you unless they want to, and that you should either try to improve yourself or come to terms with it
