hi everyone.

Just wondering, of you who have taken Welbutrin at all, did you ever notice a decrease in impulse control?

thank you

Yes, I had to fight the impulse to slap people. Manic rage is not good.

I've been off and on the medication for some time, but have been on it for awhile. I'm not sure how it effects my impulse control. I notice I think things in my head that I want to do and have to refrain from doing them, but I don't know if that has been impaired any. I think if anything it may help control my impulses... although I'm also on zyprexa (anti-psychotic) in combination so maybe that's what controls my impulses. Without both medications I'm a mess with acting on my impulses though. I'm not sure which one refrains me from acting on them really :(

i had the worst anxiety attack imaginable and could not continue to take it. i thought i was having a heart attack.

(i think it was prescribed for anxiety. good job doc.)

for some reason i tried it again many years later in combination with celexa at a very very low dose and i had no especially averse symptoms

I have taken Wellbutrin for many years and I haven't noticed anything to do with impulses. I am on a number of other medication and I do have FMS, IC and HS. Wellbutrin actually physically picks me up and makes me feel mentally less depressed. I don't have any problems with impulses making me want to do something I shouldn't be doing. Is that what you are talking about?
