http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thought_disorder

I definitely have blocking (including often completely forgetting about what I was talking about), palilalia, evasive interaction, phonemic and semantic paraphasia, and tangentiality, and incoherence sometimes. I could be schizophrenic, I think I fit all the criteria, but I at least have self-awareness, and ain't that insane.

Does anyone here have any thought and/or speech disorders? Do they give you a lot of problems when talking to people?

:( yet another thing wrong with me.
i seem to be a real clanger, that form of alliteration entertains me and makes me smile. :)
but now that it has been brought to my attention, i have done all the things listed on that wiki page.

I say my thoughts all the time when I talk to people.
don't care what that is though.

When I am severely stressed or having a psychotic break I do have thought disorder. At its worst its incoherence (total word salad), when its less severe I get derailment, flight of ideas, I always have neologisms (making up non existent words), and finally, pressure of speech. It is scary when you are unable to communicate. What is even weirder is the fact that when I am doing well I am able to do public speaking without any problems and talk to people with no sign of thought disorder.

I'm not exactly the same, but it seems that I don't always have them. It seems to depend on my mood and what episode, depressive or manic, I'm in. Except, when I'm laying in bed at night and thinking to myself, I get blocking all the time.

Echolalia – Echoing of one's or other people's speech that may only be committed once, or may be continuous in repetition. This may involve repeating only the last few words or last word of the examiner's sentences. This can be a symptom of Tourette's Syndrome. e.g. "What would you like for dinner?", "That's a good question. That's a good question. That's a good question. That's a good question."

Many people with Autism have this one, including me.
