Anyone else have tics that hurt them? I tighten certain muscles, over and over and have to twist them in unnatural positions and than hold it until I feel right. It's so tiring but worse I am in so much pain. It's the worst in my neck and arms but I also do it it my hands and feet. I take meds now that are helping me do it less and not as severe and it is more livable now but I still suffer especially on those days when my tics flare up. Any one else know this feeling?

Yes, I think understand. I have tourette's. I have tics where my muscles become so hurt from overuse and I still can't stop. I take clonidine, this helps with my motor tics. You can try pushing on the area/muscle you want to twist. This helps sometimes.

Sometimes if I overdue it and push harder than normal, it will hurt but satisfy me longer so I do it less.

I have a two part tic where I crack my neck to the right then to the upper left, and after a while will give me a headache. Otherwise, my tics are more annoying than anything.
