Anyone had this?
Every few weeks I get fatigue, body aches and so on but it seems to be caused by my own mental state. I am a nervous wreck and it gives me sort of copies of real illnesses.

Yeah. I've missed 2-3 days of school every year from "flu" that I know is probably just stupid anxiety. I was taken to the doctors as a small child because I had severe stomach aches a lot and my mum thought I had appendicitis or was developing it or something.

Nowadays when I start to feel sick I just go with it and (mostly) it passes by lunchtime.

I think it's a sign of stress.

Stress tends to depress the immune system which could make a person more vulnerable to getting infected with something,

OTOH, when I get overly stressed (usually worried) I tend to get s sore throat and feel flu-like, but it can happen when I'm being a hermit and not coming into contact with any people who are sick, so it doesn't seem like it could be an infection.

I suspect that stress causes a similar release of hormones that having a cold tends to cause. I.e. cortisol, and probably some enkephelins.

I wonder that too, also the white blood cell thing that happens too when infections are being fought? b
Because that causes muscle aches and stuff. I was reading about it the other day but I've forgotten what the process/hormone is called.
