I've been wondering, how many people here actually no friends at all? Zilch, nada, none, not a single person they could even think about considering their friend, face-to-face or online.

Since Aspies (not saying I am not; I'm not) apparently are not good at communicating, and not good at making friends, it seems just about everyone here has at least one if not two or more friends.

And I can't stress absolutely zero friends friends enough; I don't care to hear from people who have any kind of relationship, casual, platonic, intimate, whatever, with anybody. Seeing as this is for statistical purposes, I don't need answers that are unrelated to my question, and I'd like to make that clear so this thread isn't filled with spam. Thanks for your time. ;)

I made specific attempts to avoid posts like these, since I get them in all threads of mine, yet they still happen. Thanks for paying attention and reading the whole post...

Most of the ones I make online are from this site but I've never gotten to meet or make any in real life.

Yeah me too. I guess I never read the original post with as much attention as I should have, coz i do have some really good online friends, but I thought this thread was specific to real life friends only.

Which is why I tried to make sure that I said "none at all" a sufficient amount of times, but I guess I didn't. :P So far it looks like 4 people have no friends, including me.

Last year new york times ran an article on friends.

25pc of people have no friends.
25pc have one close friend

so, for half the population ppl have 0-1 friends.

friends are not family members, acquaintances at work. or people you know through proximity such as neighbours or classmates

for example, the kid in class you talk to each class, have you ever gone away on an overnight trip as friends? no, then they are an aquaintance you know as you sit beside them, not friends

I have a fair number of acquaintances, but no close friends. I haven't even made any on this board yet, but I'm still new here. I sure hope I can. I'm not sure having acquaintances really counts for much. I wish there was someone who actually cared about me who wasn't a relative.

I'd say my only 'friend' is my wife. Before I met her (when I was 19), I had no real friends (I played video games with some kids, stuff like that, but no 'friends' - no one I could be perfectly honest with, etc.). Now I have 1, at least.

Your definition of friendship is unclear.
If you say "any kind of relationship with anybody" then nobody fits the requirements. There's family. There's the cashier at the supermarket you have an interaction with, even if it's completely impersonal.
If you write on a forum you form relationships, just by reading things and relating (or not being able to). What about someone you haven't seen in years, but you still think about them. That's a relationship.
I hear dogs are our best friends as well. Some people have TV characters as friends.

Having said that, I don't feel like I have any friends. I lead a very secluded life at the moment. I occasionally exchange a few words with people online. No long conversations though.

Nope, no friends. I'm just as incapable online as I am in-person. 98% of my conversations occur within my head.
