In school I once took a standardized test which measured Verbal, Nonverbal, and Mathematics skills and I came back with an extremely high verbal score and a relatively low nonverbal score. Previously, this was considered to be the Holy Grail for an AS diagnosis, but recently that has been called into question along with the accuracy of the test itself. I do not present serious problems with many nonverbal skills and in fact, lots of people view my Visual/Spatial skills as a strength. Also worth mentioning, I was about ten when I wrote it, so there's still a question of how it was evaluated.
