I've recently been dx'd NLD Developmental Coordination Disability and Dyscalcula this is added to BPD dx which happened at the beginning of the year and ADHD dx 10yrs
I feel the NLD dx is wrong that I am Aspie I have a daughter who's low functioning Autistic and there are obvious traits in all my family not that they need diagnosis they are just traits. Here the dr's don't know anything heck I landed in hospital a couple of nights ago and the psychs had never heard of NLD I was referred to a child psychiatrist because the psychiatrist and therapists in day hospital had decided that I was autistic and wanted confirmation. I'm frustrated because I am not able to get the same services. All I want is the help to get back to work I have been out of work for about 3 years. I don't want to become another tax debt to people. Is there anything I can do I don't know anyone here I don't know who to go to and the BPD dx makes everyone believe that I need to fit in. That is not true I want a job and like anyone else I want friends is that really strange for me? Am I not supposed to want these things? Please if you can give me advice that would be great

There are NO Limits or Boundaries
I am not a doctor, but IF all of the diagnoses you have already been given are correct, you would have between them the majority of the traits that someone with Aspergers would have, so it is not surprising that you would identify with the Aspergers diagnosis. If you are able to access a package of treatment and services that addresses all of the issues that arise for you as a result of your existing diagnoses, you probably have all the bases covered as regards dealing with an Aspergers diagnosis anyway.
It is possible that you do have Aspergers, but having had so many labels placed on you already, I suspect it would be very difficult for someone to tease out what would be Aspergers and what would be attributable to one or more of the existing labels. If you are able to get an Aspergers diagnosis, I would seriously question whether all of the other diagnoses apply, or whether one or more of them are possibly a misinterpretation of Aspergers symptoms.
Is the most important thing to you getting what you feel is the correct label? Or accessing the best mix of services to deal with your particular issues? They may or may not be mutually exclusive, of course, and either standpoint is equally valid.
How you choose to proceed is, of course, entirely up to you. The best of luck with it.
