I used to have insomnia really bad, but I started taking Risperidone for "bad" thoughts and it calms my mind down so much that I'm able to go to sleep every night now.

I have sleep paralysis. I can't sleep after an episode, but I don't know if that's insomnia.

Does anyone else regain consciousness after they notice that they are asleep? When I do, my body remains still - I can't move it by force of will for some time.

My actual insomnia stopped after I started excercising, so I assume it's not AS related. I imagine it'd work for many people.

I sleep very badly when I am eating gluten.

I have been gf for three years now, and rarely have any trouble sleeping. :)

I also sleep well, as in peacefully, not tossing and turning and so on, like I used to suffer from.

Diet is a huge factor in the quality of one's sleep. :D

Same. It's not so bad with the right pills.

I think I might have that issue, I have this issue literally every single day (apart from having a really good day).
Does that count?

I'm in between. I just don't have a good sleeping pattern.

I used to have Insomnia very bad. Since taking Luvox, however, I've been sleeping much more, but during irregular periods.

for most of my life i had it pretty bad. sometimes i would go three or four nights without sleeping, & i devised names for these degrees of sleep-deprivation.

now i am old & tired, & i seldom get to sleep more than 6 hours at a time. i drop off quickly, for the most part. i recommend a job that involves physical activity for those who also have this problem (an office job didn't help).

avoiding stimulants after mid-afternoon is a must.

Sometimes, I think in my case that's just normal you know. Sometimes you cannot sleep and think too much then think about the fact that you cannot sleep, etc.

About every months, I can't sleep during 3 or 4 nights. It happens without obvious reasons.

I have insomnia most every night. It was really bad when I was like 13-14, but it got better in high school. Now the problem is, still, that it takes me lying in bed for about 2 hours before I fall asleep. Then I wake up multiple times during the night - and supposedly interrupted sleep is exponentially worse than not enough sleep.
