just wondering. for adults though because most stuff that comes up on google seems to be for kids, and who do you see? is it a shrink or do you need a referal from a councellor or do you go to a clinic? how does this work? and is it expensive or can you bulk bill- is it covered by medicare? also what evidence do you need- like do you need your parents or teachers comments or can you go without? what does the process involve? sorry about all the questions i've just never had to independantly seek a diagnosis and i cant remember what went on when i got dx'd with AS because i was like 13.

I sent you a pm with information about how my experience over the last year or so with GPs, referrals, diagnosis, psych sessions, and Medicare rebates in Australia. Hope it helps.

Just to add publicly: I don't really know about things like getting medication for ADHD, as I was seeking psych services for AS. And I don't know whether ADHD is covered by Medicare, or only the anxiety, depression or stress it may cause. And I was too old to have parent or teacher comments - although I did bring my spouse to one session.

Someone else may have experience about those types of things.
