I have these odd experiences every so often. Its like my mind is in slow motion. All of my thoughts sound like they are in slow motion and if someone is talking to me their words sound like it too. The best description I can come up with is purposefully sounding out every word in your head as slow as possible but not having any control over it. Along with that I have this intense feeling I haven’t been able to place. Its like the world is closing in on me, everything is too loud and too close. Does anyone else have any experience with this or have any idea what it could be?

It almost sounds like disassociation to me.

I thought it might be dissociation but I don't really know enough about it. It makes sense considering my past.

For me disassociation is almost like an out of body experience for me. It feels like you're not really in your own body and watching from a distance or you're on auto-pilot or something like that. Sometimes it feels like you live inside your head and all you're focusing is in your head and everything else is background noise. I usually get the latter during a panic attack.

Thats a good way to describe it. I always feel stuck inside my head.
