I haven't had an experience for a year since I took paxil, and gabapentin. But I was in the hospital at the psych ward and they gave me zoloft and I experienced something I never had before in my life. I was at a group meeting and all the sudden my muscles stiffen and my head turned to the right uncontrollably followed by involuntary jerks. Everyone noticed something wrong with me and they had to help me out of the room because I couldn't get out of my seat. It lasted for like 2 or 3 minutes.

after that a few months later, I noticed the same feeling when ever there was an unexpected noise or a very loud noise that would scare me. I even went one time with my dad to get his car through emissions and when the guy started his car and stepped on the gas full blast I stiffened up and couldn't move. I just thought I was sensitive to loud noises...

Is this a tonic seizure? and is it possible it can happen rarely? or they come and go?

Sounds seizurelike to me. Have you seen a neurologist?

No I haven't because I haven't had one for a while...should I still go see one?

If you haven't had these episodes on a long time, probably not, because the neurologist won't be able to tell anything unless he/she can record you during the episode. And with the serious medical issues that can cause seizures, you'd have noticed fairly obvious other issues by now.

But if it happens again, you should probably talk to a neurologist about it. Since it's triggered by loud noises, my guess is they'd hook you up to an EEG and see what happens when they play a loud noise.
