How would a schizophrenic be if they did not know they have schizophrenia and did not have a diagnosis done and they and everyone around them knew nothing about schizophrenia and no one cared for them to get them help?

I have been schizotypal all my life, and i'm pretty sure almost nobody around me [aside from the shrinks] knew about such, and I ended up having to become a hermit so I could cope with life.

an unaware person who has schizophrenia would be miserable., living in a terrifying delusional world. there is this fellow who lives on my street. he has withdrawn from his family and been evicted by them for occasional violence. he wandered the streets for two days until another relative convinced him to go to the hospital.

What if the person's delusions were grandiose?

Grandiose delusions aren't necessarily enjoyable - grandiosity can be closely linked to paranoia ('they're after me because I'm the king of the universe').

They may become homeless due to being kicked out the house/apartment or not being able to work to afford one or they may be arrested & sent to prison for acting aggressively/threateningly or committing crimes
