So apparently the other night I woke up in the early hours of the morning marched downstairs stood outside my housemate's door and screamed. I have no memory of this and it has me very*concerned as one of my fears is that I lose control over my actions and end up doing heinous reprehensible or simply inappropriate thing without any conscious awareness.

Has anyone else experienced this and if you have is there any need for me to be worried about the "Phenomenon".

Are you taking prescription pharmaceutical sleep aids, or SSRI antidepressants?

I've known friends who have had all sorts of weird experiences taking things like Ambien.

nope- I imagine weed might have something to do with it however. It disrupts the depth consistency and length ofthe rem cycle

Hm. Smoked a lot of weed, never walked in my sleep. I have woken myself up screaming a few times, and remembering what I was dreaming about at the time, it made sense. 8O

Hard liquor makes me sleepwalk sometimes, but it's not so much dreams that cause it, as getting up to go to the bathroom, then getting lost on the way back. I'll wake up in a chair or lying on a couch in another room, long after I clearly remember brushing my teeth and going to bed. :drunken:
