I had severe panic disorder and agoraphobia for several years so I fully understand the anxiety. However, sometimes when you are very, very tired and are woken up with a phone call you may fall right back to sleep and not be able to help doing it and then not even remember the phone call or hear the phone again. She might not have even been fully awake when she answered the phone. I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose and being worn out completely to the point where you are that tired, from working to support your family doesn't make her stupid and isn't a reason to hate her. I know it's easy to take it out on somebody else when you are panicking like that, but I hope you calmed down some before talking to your mother about this. I can understand both sides but I also know how bad it sucks to be blamed for something you didn't do on purpose. I'm sure she will feel bad enough about it without being called stupid and being hated. It's not always possible to wake up fully like that when the phone rings.
