I have been diagnosed with Aspergers, severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, learning disabilities (slow processing seed, slow reading speed, and difficulty with expressive language at times), ADD (which is secondary to, and somewhat a part of, my AS), executive function disorder, OCD, and Oppositional Defient Disorder(ODD). OCD and ODD were misdiagnosed, so I don't actually have them. And now with the DSM V, my diagnosis of AS has been changed to ASD.
I was diagnosed with OCD because of my sensory difficulties and my need for things to be predictable and the same caused by my AS. My meltdowns which I had a couple times a day, were thought to be tantrums, so I got the diagnosis of ODD.
I also have symptoms of NLVD and Dyslexia, but they are not severe enough to get a diagnosis. And I am starting to wonder if I have seizures because I get muscle twitches when I am overwhelmed sometimes.
I was diagnosed with GED, ADD, ODD, and OCD when I was 6-7 years old. When I was 12, I read about autism for the first time and I was convinced that I had it. It took 5 years until my parents and doctors finally agreed with me, and I was diagnosed with AS. The ODD and OCD were at the same time take away. I was diagnosed with SPD about 6 months before I got my AS diagnosis. I was identified with learning difficulties when I was 7 or 8. I am what is starting to be called a "twice exceptional student" because I am academically and intellectually gifted but at the same time I have learning difficulties.

I have also read that Bipolar can't be comorbid with ASD is that true?
I have a friend who has AS and pretty severe Bipolar. Bipolar is her primary condition with AS being considered a secondary condition.
