...have grown increasingly dysmorphic, violent, sexual, and otherwise bizarre. They make sleep almost as painful and scary as wakefulness.

Sorry to hear that. I get these recurring dreams where I'm kissing my younger brother and trying to make love to him. Very odd. Strangely, though, it excites me somewhat.
