I started at a dose of 60 mg at night and then, a week later, I started getting these weird vocal and motor tics. Now, dissatisfied with the medicine, I am still getting tics. Sorry to complain, but have any of you gotten this?
Something similar when I was on Saphris, except they were less tics than involuntary movements. My tongue kept trying to stretch forward while also stretching backwards to the back of my mouth and my lips kept trying to pucker up. I could exert some control over it, but it was difficult and required much of my concentration. It made conversation much more difficult, because I always had to keep correcting my tongue and lips from the involuntary movements they were engaging in, resulting in saying a few words, pause, saying a few words, pause, etc.
Anyway, I'd call your doctor.
