Hello all!

Hey, I have a friend who can't stop lying. He makes up stories all the time and I've fact-checked him on a number of them. He's just one of those guys who lies all the time.

Know anyone like that?

I don't want to end the relationship. I mean, it's not like life and death or anything. I enjoy hanging out with him. Just hate it when I can't believe most of his stories.

He is a pathological liar.
Most of them are sociopaths/psychopaths.

He does have a psycho pathological disorder - he's schizophrenic. And to be fair, we, us all in this forum (most of us, anyway) are sociopaths - y'know, having Asperger's and all.

nope. Socio - society, path - disease. Asperger's is, by definition, among other things, characterized by awkward and uncomfortable social situations.

sociopathy is a spectrum just like an autism spectrum disorder. Antisocial personality disorder is a sociopathic disorder, sure but there's much more on that spectrum than just that.
