can asd hide the symptoms of other mental ilness (anxiety,ocd,personality disorders,mood disorder etc could have symptoms that would appear the same as asd symptoms). how would they be able to diagnose and treat a mental ilness that could be seen as part of asd but is actually a separate disorder?

I'm sure it does. That's why when evaluating you don't just say you do something or feel a certain way. You dig deeper and find out why you do it or feel that way.

I'm certain it would.

On the other hand, if you're like me, an articulate, highly intelligent female, you only get dxed with depression and anxiety when clearly there's other s**t wrong with me.

It makes getting NON mental health problems harder to diagnose, much less mental health ones that rely so much on the ability to self-report problems accurately.
