AvPD and AS

Is the anyone in here that have AvPD and AS? My terepist think that I have AS. But now, when I have been reading about AvPD, I think I mey have that too, or that I is misdiagnosis with AS. It was so many thing in AvPD, that I could relate to.

What do you think? Is it impossible to have both?

I have a lot of AvPD symptoms as well. I think the main difference is that AvPD is diagnosed in adulthood, whereas AS has a wide range of other symptoms, that are present from early childhood.

My guess is that it would actually be very common for people with AS to have symptoms of AvPD - and if all of your symptoms can be explained by AS, there's no real point in tacking the AvPD diagnosis on as well.

My girlfriend has both. You could try talking to your therapist about why you think you have AvPD.
