So maybe this is just an extension of the already diagnosed asperger's but I really don't like being around most people. I'm very sensitive to the vibes that people put off and it makes being social difficult at times. I especially can't stand having people in my personal space for too long. It hurts to be around people who are parasitic and unfortunately most of us are to some degree. Anobody else ever feel that way?

Hi Melle,

I understand you feel like this could be a schizotypal thing. But it could reflect other things too, like schizoid or autistic features, or maybe 'just' extreme introversion. Sometimes it can be very hard to make a distinction between those, especially in the case of comorbid disorders. I think it would be best to take a look at other symptoms you experience. Have you taken a look at the other criteria for schizotypal personality disorder yet?

Many people here feel that way. It's just not within the narrow acceptable band of neurotypical thought forms that their parasitic social interactions are in fact, harmful and non-consentual by nature. In addition to disliking being around those kind of people, I have an extreme adversion to all types of advertising, marketers, and financial-oriented people.
