Sometimes described as Conversion Disorder, although that is falling out of favor in some quarters. Neural signals to and from my amygdala, motor cortex, and frontal lobe become garbled, resulting in the two sides of the FND coin; Functional Motor Disorder (I fall down sometimes, so I walk with a cane, have a lot of tremor in my hands, and sometimes dystonic contractions, fasciculations, and non-epileptic focal motor seizures), and Functional Cognitive Disorder (confusion, memory deficits). Some things, like clumsiness, poor dexterity, and slow mental processing, might be either FND or ASD.
