I'm sick of the schizophrenia that I've had for the past 10+ years. I want to do away with the negative aspects of it, but keep the strengths I have gained from it. I think I also had autism at times. At family gatherings I would not talk to anyone, and be totally oblivious to social cues.

Although currently there is no cure for schizophrenia, you can treat and manage it with medication, self-help strategies, and supportive therapies.

What you're calling "autism" is probably more the "negative symptoms" of Schizophrenia. Such as: poverty of speech and thought (not talking much and less thoughts), loss of motivation, inattention to social and cognitive input, lack of social interest, blunted affect (not showing emotion), apathy, and anhedonia (not knowing how you feel).

Unfortunately there are no medications that effectively treat the "negative symptoms."
