For people with ADHD, how do you manage your hyperactivity (besides or in addition to medication)?

One of my cousins's kids has ADHD & eating sugar actually calms him down or at least it used to years ago. I guess it had the opposite affect on him than most people cuz of his ADHD. The most common ADHD meds are stimulants & sugar is kind of a stimulant so I guess that's why maybe :?

I don’t know about the sugar thing. Eating too much sugar makes my blood sugar uneven and I feel dizzy and weak.

When possible, I take lots of breaks to walk around and stuff.
