Im having a hard time managing my mental health. I have more anxiety. I have not slept properly in a week.

My parents are concerned about me. They say I seem more disorganized. I hate this. Its always the same. I get better than worse alot. I might have to see a psychiatrist. Its been going on for 4 years. Its a cycle. I have had good times though.

My parents say I show psychotic symptoms. I dont agree with that. Im scared to see a dr.

not sleeping tends to amplify a lot of other mental health issues. People being concerned is a good thing. At least they care. You don't have to agree about acting/feeling/being psychotic. I would recommend seeing a Dr. though - even if its just to help you get some sleep. It will help you see things more clearly.

Why? What's the worse case scenario in your mind?

I understand it, my extreme general and social anxiety was mistaken for psychotic symptoms, resulting in wrong diagnosis and wrong medication.
However, I found a shrink who listened to me and boiled it do depression and anxiety that were really the problem.
The better you understand yourself, the bigger your chances that a psychiatrist will take you right. Try to be prepared. Make notes and try to realize how you feel, including tiredness and sensory issues.
From my expirience, rest helps the most - but you need to realize what is rest and what is toil for you.

I've been misdiagnosed some by my psychiatrist. I really think it would of helped me if I understood myself more & paid more attention to myself. It would of also helped if I analyzed myself more. The psychotic symptoms might could be due to sever anxiety & depression. I've suffered a psychotic depression that was caused my sever anxiety over my 1st girlfriend. I really think you should see a psychiatrist or at least talk to a doc OP & I wish you the best with this.
