I fit the ideomotor dyspraxia description, I spill drinks, drop silverware, miss fields on touch screens. I know what I want to do it but controlling my body precisely enough to carry the task can be very difficult and it requires full focus.
I learned several workarounds in my teens, how to hold a thing I slice so I don't slice myself even if the knife goes wrong way, how to wash up not to break dishes, etc.
Touch screens are still a problem.
I consider my dyspraxia "mild" or rather "high functioning" - it doesn't impair me much. Just a bit, sometimes. Smart phones are the biggest issue, I'm considering buying a Banana Phone.
All I read about dyspraxia therapy was not treatment but learning workarounds - exactly the thing I did myself in my teens.
