Hi,

I was diagnosed as an adult on being on the spectrum. I also did some studying about myself and believe I may also have Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Has anyone also been diagnosed with this or do you suspect that it's simply the extension of egocentricity in aspies?

Thanks,
Daniel

NPD as I understand it is a catch-22 type situation. If you are humble enough to question needing help with it you probably don't need help. Most narcissistic types believe they don't have a problem and are too arrogant to admit their flaw.

Bravo5150 is right; people with NPD who actually think they have NPD are rare. I suggest you think carefully about why you seem to have the NPD traits. The motivation behind thoughts and behavior is what differentiates NPD from other things. People with NPD have low self-esteem that is very deeply buried and covered up with a big ego.
